Crowley: we face tough task

FOR the Limerick footballers their league campaign ended on a rather unpalatable note. On the morning of Sunday April 12th they entered their final match against Offaly buoyed by the knowledge that an outside chance of promotion was still within their grasp.

Yet by that evening a three-point defeat in Tullamore linked with a catastrophic series of results elsewhere had sent them tumbling down to Division 4 football.

“Considering how our last game went it was very disappointing what happened,” reflected Limerick’s Mike Crowley.
