Bane in the reckoning as Galway boss Sammon prepares for Kingdom clash
Bane, one of the most promising young forwards in the game, missed Galway’s last game against Mayo because of the two yellow card rule.
Regular left half-back Darren Mullahy, who also missed the Mayo game because of work commitments, is also back in the frame and seems certain to start.

Meanwhile, Des Cahill was officially unveiled as the new presenter of the Sunday Game yesterday.
RTÉ announced that Cahill would replace Pat Spillane for the 2009 championship season, who stepped down on Sunday night after presenting the show for the past five seasons.
Cahill, with over 25 years experience in sports broadcasting, takes over the role from the Kerry legend having most recently presented RTÉ’s mid-week GAA championship programme ‘The Road to Croker’ for the last two seasons as well as continuing to host his weekday radio show DriveTime Sport.
At his appointment yesterday, Cahill said: “As a fan of The Sunday Game for the past 30 years I’m delighted to have been asked to present the show.”
He added that he looked forward to working with “a vibrant, young, yet experienced production team” and that it was “a momentous year for the GAA with the 125th anniversary celebrations ensuring that the championships will be very much centre stage”.
The accomplished TV front man will take up the reigns on the evening of Sunday May 17, with Sunday Game Live continuing to be presented by Michael Lyster.
