CORK attacker James Masters is battling through the pain barrier following his return to inter-county action.

Masters admits to battling through pain barrier

Masters was introduced a late substitute during the NFL win over Laois last Saturday in Portlaoise and hit the final point in his first appearance for Cork since the All-Ireland semi-final replay defeat to Kerry last August.

Masters has been plagued with a back problem since and made his 2009 comeback last week for Nemo Rangers in a Kelleher Shield match against Newcestown. But the Rebel star admits the injury is still causing him anguish.
