THERE is no decision yet on the grants to GAA players this year, according to John Treacy, Chief Executive of the Irish Sports Council.

He said yesterday that the funding was not late — it was paid out in November last year.

“The funding would be done then anyway,” he said. “What I’m saying is no decision will be made on the Gaelic players grants until we meet the Minister. We will probably meet him in the next number of weeks on this particular issue.”
