DON’T mention the war. That was the reaction from Tipperary full-back Paul Curran prior to this evening’s NHL against Cork at Semple Stadium.

“Whatever is happening down there, that’s their own business,” said the Mullinahone star, “It’s not the 2008 panel but it’s still Cork, and we’re approaching the match as though nothing has changed. You can’t just switch on and off; it’s an important game for us, it’s the league, you play what’s in front of you.”
