Clarification

YESTERDAY’S edition reported an erroneous announcement at Tuesday’s night’s Cork County Board meeting that the mother of Cork hurling manager Gerald McCarthy had died.

The McCarthy family have asked us to clarify that Mrs McCarthy has not died, but remains seriously ill in hospital.
