O’Driscoll’s magic saves St Fachtna’s in battle with Críost Rí

Críost Rí looked poised for victory when substitute Finny Desmond kicked them into the lead with two minutes of normal time remaining. But, bravely refusing to surrender, St Fachtna’s thundered back and were rewarded for their never-say-die attitude when midfielder Peader O’Driscoll kicked a glorious equaliser three minutes into injury time.

It was a fitting climax to a superb contest for supremacy in a game which well and truly lived up to its billing as the game of the round.
