Playoffs needed in Corn Uí Mhuirí

CHAMPIONS St Brendan’s, Killarney are still in the Corn Uí Mhuirí title race following yesterday’s round, but only by the skin of their teeth.

Along with St Colman’s and St Fachtnas, all three schools finished on two points in Group C, having drawn their two games, and it will necessitate a playoff to decide which two will go forward to the knock out stages.

Two of the schools will be drawn from a hat to play each other. That draw will be conducted in Fermoy on Sunday. The winners will then go through as group winners and the losers will play the third team for the second place.
