Mulcahy driven on by fear factor

ANOTHER final Sunday in September, another All-Ireland decider. Such is life for the Cork ladies footballers in these days of plenty.

While the lads from Kerry and Kilkenny spent the summer chasing dreams of three-in-a-row, the girls from Cork have been quietly going about the business of trying to tie up a fourth successive crown.

They’ve lost twice competitively in four years and seen off pretty much all, mainly by hefty margins. Only Monaghan stand between them and another title tomorrow. It’s a decent time to be togging out, all told.
