CITY Division GAA officials in Cork have begun an investigation into a mass brawl which erupted in the weekend’s Craobh Rua final between Crosshaven and Na Piarsaigh.

Players and mentors from both sides became involved in the melee which developed in the 48th minute of the decider at Ballinlough on Sunday.

The game finished in a draw (0-12 apiece) and, as yet, no replay date has been set.

Board bosses are awaiting the referee’s report before commenting any further on the matter.
