IRRESPECTIVE of betting trends, which are not always a correct barometer of form, it’s clear tomorrow’s GAA All-Ireland football championship final in Croke Park is wide open.

And, while the campaign has produced what ex-Dublin manager Paul Caffrey described as ‘some crazy’ results, nobody expects either Kerry or Tyrone to manage what Kilkenny did to Waterford in the hurling decider.

Kerry were always a good bet to get back to the final and challenge for another treble but few anticipated Tyrone qualifying because they had lost such ground over the past two seasons due to retirements and injuries.
