Hearty thumps his way to Kick Fada victory

CROSSMAGLEN Rangers goalkeeper Paul Hearty won the ninth MBNA KickFada competition with a 70 metres kick at the Bray Emmets GAA grounds on Saturday.

Hearty overcame a top class field with Paraic Kelly (Offaly) in second and Fintan Ruddy (Mayo) third.

Mary Sheridan from Senechalstown GAA Club claimed the women’s title with a 43 metres kick beating Cliona O’Connor and Emma Dunne, both from Naomh Mearnóg GAA club in Dublin.
