THE GAA will continue to treat the issue of racial abuse as a top priority, says association President Nickey Brennan.

Referring to the recently reported case (in Carlow) as “most disturbing”, he said that the quick response from them showed the serious manner in which they viewed the matter.

“Such behaviour is completely unacceptable and I utterly condemn this blatant disrespect for another human being. The recent incident was very isolated and I comment the GAA officials who dealt swiftly with the matter when it arose.”
