South East set to be sunnier for Waterford
Take their first championship outing this year, the drawn game against Dublin in Nowlan Park. On their first half display in that game Wexford wouldn’t win the Christy Ring, on their improved second half performance, they might. In the replay against Dublin, they were better again, and the graph continued to rise through the first-half against Kilkenny in the Leinster final. But then, after the restart, they once again imploded against Brian Cody’s side.
So how do you account for all that? I mean, you take any half-decent hurling side, add in pride and passion, fitness and determination, and you should be competitive at least, in every outing.
