Murphy: We know we’re up against it

IT’S been a hard few months for Eoin Murphy of Waterford. He broke a thumb early in the season, and on his return to intercounty training a freak accident intervened: he lost his footing during a drill, falling over and breaking his arm in three places.

No wonder he was happy to get back on the field against Antrim in the qualifiers two weeks ago.

“I’m back to one hundred percent now,” he says. “I’m kind of used to it because I’ve had a few injuries over the years, and I know it takes time.
