Derry withstand late rally

DERRY moved within distance of the Christy Ring Cup quarter-finals, but had to survive a huge scare in the second half at Celtic Park as Armagh overturned a 12-point deficit to lead going into the final quarter.

Sam Dodds and Ruairi Convery netted to put Derry 2-7 to 0-1 up, but goals from John Corvan (two), Fiachra Bradley, Cathal Carville and Gerard Enright in the space of 16 minutes saw Armagh lead, only for Mark Craig and Paddy Henry to hit the net late on.
