Walsh to take championship bow with Kingdom

CROMANE’s Donncha Walsh makes his championship debut for Kerry in Sunday’s Munster SFC final at Páirc Uí Chaoimh, one of four changes for the All-Ireland champions from the side that eased past Clare in the provincial semi final.

All-Ireland U21 winning captain Killian Young is recalled in defence, while Walsh’s Cromane colleague Sean O’Sullivan also starts in the half-forward line. Kieran Donaghy returns to the starting line-up to the exclusion of Tommy Walsh.

Renard man Young missed the opening round against Clare after dislocating his a/c joint in his right shoulder following a collision with Paul Galvin in an A v B challenge game, but is fully recovered and takes over from Tommy Griffin at left half back. Darragh Ó Sé has also overcome a groin problem and plays at midfield.
