When you add in Alan O’Neill and Adam Brophy from the previous year, there are a total of eight from the school on the county team, with two Harty Cup and two Croke Cup medals.
Waterford haven’t won the Munster minor title since 1992 when a team that included Paul Flynn defeated Tipperary in a thrilling replay in Páirc Uí Chaoimh. Since then they were beaten in two finals by Cork in 1994 and 1995. Much is expected from this outfit, the backbone of which has been involved in some magnificent games with DLS over the last two years.
