Collingwood press ahead with plans for clash with Dubs

AUSSIE RULES club Collingwood are continuing with plans to face the Dublin footballers in a Compromise Rules clash later this year despite the renaissance of the International Rules Series.

It was first reported last February that the Melbourne club were interested in taking on Paul Caffrey’s side at Croke Park in November and Collingwood chief executive Gary Pert has said negotiations are ongoing.

“The international series doesn’t really affect the game we are looking at,” he said.
