Loughmore-Castleiney look to Ormond to skipper county

TIPPERARY SHC champions Loughmore-Castleiney last night nominated Paul Ormond for the captaincy for the Premier senior hurling team.

The club issued a statement last night, adding that: “In the event of Paul not making the team the most senior member of the Loughmore-Castleiney panel, based on length of service to the county, securing a place on the team will take the armband. In the event of no Loughmore-Castleiney player making the Tipperary team for the forthcoming Championship, the Tipperary County Board, having consulted with the team management and the County champions Loughmore-Castleiney, have nominated Eoin Kelly of Mullinahone as vice-captain.”
