O’Shea refuses to rush Gooch back to action

PAT O’SHEA is ruling out an early return to action by Colm Cooper, who was a spectator at Saturday’s League game in Tralee and will train with the Kerry squad this week.

But there is an outside chance of Declan O’Sullivan making an appearance in Sunday’s concluding round game against Galway in Pearse Stadium. It is less likely that captain Paul Galvin will be ready.

“We are hoping that Declan might be around for some bit of time,” said the Kerry boss. “Paul trained again on Saturday but as regards his injury, we will assess it as we go on.
