Loughnane puzzled by league break

GALWAY hurling manager Ger Loughnane is concerned at a three-week league lay-off due to college and club commitments.

Loughnane is puzzled that his side wouldn’t be in action until March 9th.

“The puzzling thing is there’s a three-week break between now and the next game. Everybody would love if there was a game Sunday because now we’re on a roll after the last two weekends. The next thing you are faced with is a three-week gap and then you could be playing three or four or maybe five weeks in-a-row!’’
