GAA Director-General Paraic Duffy believes a renewal of the International Rules Series will help the Association control the movement of talented youngsters joining the rival code.
Duffy seeks revival of Rules Series

GAA bosses are concerned at the number of teenagers being approached by Aussie Rules clubs in the past two years and hope that a mending of fences with the AFL regarding the hybrid concept will also lead to agreement on player poaching.

The competition ended in 2006 for disciplinary reasons and Duffy admits a “lack of a link served” to increase the recruitments in the interim.
