Battling Brogan’s snatch draw

St Brogan’s, Bandon 0-14 Borrisokane, Tipperary 1-11

Trailing by four points with time running out, it looked like the end of the road for St Brogan’s. But the lion hearts of Bandon stormed back and snatched a last-gasp equaliser when outstanding centre-back Thomas Harrington converted a long-range free a minute from the end of normal time.

It was a dramatic finale to a final which saw the sides level on five occasions in the first half. Then Borrisokane, who had earlier missed a penalty when full-forward Rory Gleeson blasted over, edged their way into a one point lead at the interval when Chris Doughan hit over seconds from the break.
