Cork’s League participation remains in doubt
The talks, chaired by LRC chief Kieran Mulvey, broke down late on Saturday after 18 hours of discussions over the previous two days, but Mulvey remains available to mediate if needed. Though the industrial relations expert is due to travel abroad today he has made himself available if required.
Though the talks are believed to have broken down on several key points, there was broad agreement from both sides on the memorandum of understanding proposed by Mulvey – “some tweaking” was all that was required on the county board side. The Irish Examiner has received a copy of the memorandum, which contains some significant initiatives.
