Fair Play Alan - you’re a winner!

THE Galway senior hurlers may be struggling to go the final step to glory but Clarenbridge’s Alan Kerins has been named the GPA’s inaugural Halifax Fair Play award winner.

Kerins will receive a cheque from Halifax for €15,000 towards his mortgage. Kerins will also take on the role of Brand Ambassador for Gaelic Performance for 2008.

Alan was nominated for both GPA Team of the Year and an Allstar hurling award for his endeavours with Galway this season, where he performed with distinction and without incurring any sanctions from referees.
