CORK GAA chiefs have submitted draft proposals to redevelop their showpiece stadium, Páirc Uí Chaoimh into a 60,000 seater multi-purpose venue.

The move forms part of the Cork City Council’s Draft South Docks Local Area Plan.

The submission, which were revealed at a meeting of councillors on Monday night, proposes a 60,000 seat multi-function arena, a warm-up and all-weather pitch, restaurant and dining facilities, 400 car parking spaces and improved access for public transport.
