Limerick rally to earn replay with Cork

A storming finish from the Ciarán Carey managed Limerick forced a replay after a thrilling decider at the Gaelic Grounds yesterday. Captain Aoife Sheehan scored a goal from a 21-metre free and then deep into injury time Niamh Mulcahy landed a free from midfield to level the scoring.

Cork looked on target to retain their title with a goal in each half and when Lynda Doran goaled in the 54th minute they opened a 2-7 to 0-8 lead.
