Ryan has last say as Colman’s peg back Caimin’s
The Shannon school were by far the better side, particularly in the opening half, at the end of which they led by six points. But the introduction of Ryan worked the oracle for the Fermoy college and it was fitting he should have the final say. Ryan was a revelation for Colman’s. Using his pace and skill to great effect, he hit five points in his side’s tremendous second half fight back.
Caimin’s will be disappointed at not claiming such a big Harty scalp as Colman’s, particularly as they face fellow Clare side, St Flannan’s, in the next round. They showed little regard for their more illustrious opponents and stormed into a four points to nil lead after 10 minutes.
