O’Shea guides Kerry to glory

HE walks with a light step, but All-Ireland winning Kerry coach Pat O’Shea understands his footballing heritage.

“We represent a people,” he said last night. “Every time we go out we are conscious of that. I am always aware that we have to uphold what’s gone before us and that we pass a torch on to the people who will come after.”

O’Shea guided the Kingdom to their 35th All-Ireland title yesterday, and third in four years as they crushed Munster rivals Cork at Croke Park.
