CLASHMORE advanced to the Waterford SFC quarter-finals after a shock win at Dungarvan’s Fraher Field on Saturday evening.

In a thrilling game, Stradbally took the lead within two minutes from a Niall Curran free and by the end of the opening quarter they were 0-4 to 0-1 clear with Fintan Walsh’s seventh -minute free the only positive for Clashmore.

Wash’s accurate free-taking kept his side in touch and they trailed at the break by 0-6 to 0-4.
