Shefflin set for knee scan

HENRY SHEFFLIN will later today learn the full extent of the knee injury which forced him off at half-time in Sunday’s Guinness All-Ireland final against Limerick.

The Kilkenny captain is likely to have a scan on the joint in hospital this morning. On the advice of team doctor Tadhg Crowley, Shefflin decided to leave his injured knee rest for a few days before receiving a scan.
