In a year for Kilkenny hurling which has been marred forever, which has been scarred forever, by real tragedy, by real human suffering, that was the message yesterday from Kilkenny manager Brian Cody.

Less than two months ago, Vanessa McGarry, wife of James, the hugely popular Kilkenny sub-keeper, mother of 11-yr-old Darragh, was killed in a car accident.
