Bumper weekend of GAA coverage

RTÉ yesterday announced plans for a mammoth weekend of GAA championship coverage.

The station will broadcast three games on Saturday and three games on Sunday with over 10 hours of football and hurling action and analysis over the two days.

On Saturday the station will begin their six game saga on RTÉ Two with the Tommy Murphy Cup Final between Antrim and Wicklow (12.15pm).

That game will be followed by the first two All-Ireland SFC quarter-finals. Cork face Connacht champions Sligo at 2pm which will be followed by Tyrone’s clash with Meath at 4pm.

Sunday’s schedule kicks off with the Christy Ring Cup Final between Westmeath and Kildare at 12.15pm.

Following this will be the All-Ireland SHC semi-final as Kilkenny take on Wexford at 2pm in a repeat of last month’s Leinster decider.

And finally, at 4pm, Cork and Waterford square off in the third meeting of championship 07 in the All-Ireland SHC quarter-final replay.
