Ban a pure joke, says angry Bennis

LIMERICK manager Richie Bennis lashed out at GAA authorities for forcing him to view yesterday’s All-Ireland SHC quarter-final victory over Clare from the back of the Hogan Stand.

“Last Friday I was informed that I had to sit in the stand and today I was duly escorted by an official to my seat at the back of the stand,” said an irate Bennis.

“Given my poor eyesight I saw little of the first half and decided to move down behind our bench for the second half.
