Truth be told, it should have ended the first day in Limerick, when the home side were reduced to 14 men from the 24th minute, their captain Damien Reale sent off after receiving a second yellow card. On a boiling hot day, the odds were immediately stacked against Limerick but to their great credit, they regrouped, fought like tigers, every man running himself to a standstill in a Herculean team effort.
