‘Incredible’ clash was up there with any game we’ve ever seen, says Babs

THIS was another epic on a long list of Limerick/Tipperary Munster championship encounters.

The respective managers, Babs Keating of Tipp and Richie Bennis of Limerick, have seen their share of those games and been part of several. But this one had them reaching for the superlatives.

A relieved Babs said: “I hope you will be generous to the game that was there and realise that in the heat of the battle, it isn’t easy. I was there myself over the years and it took special character (for Limerick) to come through there and earn a draw.
