Corcoran: We are where we set out to be, a Munster final

“WE are where we set out to be at the beginning of the season — in another Munster final,” said Cork selector John Corcoran, clearly well satisfied after seeing his side crush Tipperary in a one-sided semi-final at the Gaelic Grounds.

“The bigger picture for us is the Sam Maguire in September, but we must clear the hurdles in front of us first. Today we did that quite comfortably and we can now look forward to going to Killarney on the first Sunday in July to defend our Munster title against Kerry who, I understand, also won comfortably in Dungarvan.

“To be honest, at the start of this campaign everyone was saying it was going to be a Cork/Kerry final. And, with respects to the other counties, we both got it very easy in our respective games up to now. But the next day will be an entirely different kettle of fish.
