SPORTS MINISTER John O’Donoghue yesterday remained tight-lipped on the on-going impasse surrounding the controversial sports grants to GAA players issue, saying: “There has been no change in the situation. There is nothing to add to what I said last time.”

Minister O’Donoghue was speaking at the opening of the National Rowing Centre in the Lee Valley yesterday.

Last Thursday, Croke Park officials and the GPA both met with Minister O’Donoghue after submitting a joint document which detailed how the €5m can be distributed amongst the country’s GAA inter-county players.
