Rebels hold out as Wexford hit back

WEXFORD made Cork sweat for the valuable points at stake in this entertaining Allianz NHL tie at Páirc Uí Chaoímh yesterday.

After an explosive start to the second-half, sparked by a goal of sublime quality from impressive substitute Cathal Naughton, the home side looked set to stroll home. But Wexford launched a tremendous response and came close to pulling the game out of the fire.

In a tame first-half, Cork scored some magnificent points with Joe Deane, Pa Cronin and Neil Ronan finding the target with some delightful touches.
