After an explosive start to the second-half, sparked by a goal of sublime quality from impressive substitute Cathal Naughton, the home side looked set to stroll home. But Wexford launched a tremendous response and came close to pulling the game out of the fire.

In a tame first-half, Cork scored some magnificent points with Joe Deane, Pa Cronin and Neil Ronan finding the target with some delightful touches.
