Brennan steers clear of UCD county furore

GAA President Nickey Brennan is sympathetic towards the position of UCD, whose eligibility to participate in the Dublin county championships could be under threat.

But, he stressed he had no wish to get involved in the controversy.

“It’s a matter for Dublin to sort out themselves,” he commented. “All I would say about UCD’s involvement is that they have certainly set a high standard, because they have high quality players there. It lays down a challenge for the other clubs.
