Fitzgerald throws down gauntlet to delegates on fixtures dilemma

CLARE GAA secretary Pat Fitzgerald threw down a challenge to the delegates attending the annual convention in relation to the fixtures dilemma.

He said he would “invite” anybody who could come up with a programme of games “that would work” to come and meet him.

He made the comment in the course of a debate on a variety of motions relating to the running of the championships in senior hurling and football.
