Críost Rí hoping to upset Doon

WITH the Corn Uí Mhuirí preliminary rounds concluded and the eight quarter-finalists known, the Munster Colleges Council turn their attention to completing a number of other competitions before the Christmas break.

Críost Rí hoping to upset Doon

Top of the list is the Kinane Cup final between Doon CBS and Coláiste Chríost Rí which is fixed for Feenagh this afternoon. Apart from the trophy on offer for the winners, a place in next year’s Dr Harty Cup is also up for grabs.

Doon have a very good record in this competition, winning the title in 2002 and ‘03. They went on to enjoy a very good run in the Harty reaching the semi-final against St Flannan's in 2004, and are very keen to get back to the top grade.
