Irish can make every second count, says Tohill

THE time reduction in the four-quarter International Rules Series from 20 to 18 minutes can help Ireland win back the Cormac McAnallen trophy in Croke Park, according to selector Anthony Tohill.

Irish can make every second count, says Tohill

“The fact that the games are a little bit shorter allows us to keep fellows on the pitch. It’s a bit more like the duration of a Gaelic football match,’’ said the former Irish skipper.

Captain Kieran McGeeney, Anthony Moyles, Tom Kelly, Aidan O’Mahony and Tadhg Kennelly all played for the entire 72 minutes in Galway last Saturday.
