Crotty the hero for flying Flannan’s

ST FLANNAN’S, Ennis recorded a comfortable 1-13 to 1-4 win over Castletroy College, Limerick, at the Limerick Gaelic Grounds yesterday.

They led all the way in a game that was well contested for long stages.

The Limerick side were trailing by four points approaching half time but a well-worked move by St Flannan’s saw Sean Crotty hammer the ball to the net to leave his side leading at the interval 1-5 to 0-1.

This goal really decided the outcome, although the Castletroy 15 never surrendered and hotly contested the exchanges in the second half.

Scores from Eoghan Lyons, Sean Crotty, and Padraig McMahon wrapped it up for the winners and the losers’ lone goal came from Liam O’Keeffe.
