Jacob strike proves key as Oulart cruise into semi-final
Very little separated the sides during the opening 20 minutes but it was Jacob’s opportunist goal that left the title-holders with a 1-8 to 0-7 lead at the interval.
The second half, however, was all one-way traffic as Oulart hit the opposition with an unanswerable 1-7 during the third quarter, the goal coming from William Whelan, to lead 2-15 to 0-7. Although the opposition hit back with points from Shane Fenlon, Niall O’Loughlin and John Breen, it was Oulart who marched through to a semi-final clash with St Martin’s — a repeat of last year’s final.
