CLONAKILTY face an uphill battle at Bandon on Sunday when they take on mighty Nemo Rangers in their quest for a place in the Evening Echo Cork County semi-finals but coach Michael O’Neill feels they are ready to challenge the champions.

“But let’s face it, Nemo are an amazing team,” he admitted. “Nemo are to Cork football what Kerry are to inter-county football and they even play the same way. People will speak of Nemo and Kerry in the same breath.

“We beat Nemo in Bandon two years ago but, since then, they have won two Kelleher Shields, one county title and one Munster club title. Yet they feel unfulfilled. While some clubs dream about county titles, they are dreaming of All-Irelands.”
