What a difference a week makes for Eoin

He is one of several players who could have lost his place after the Munster campaign — just like Declan O’Sullivan, ironically the one called in to take over his position. In four games Brosnan was substituted, but was picked for every one of seven the team has played. Until now.

It’s not difficult to imagine his disappointment, what it will be like for him on Sunday when the team lines up for the parade and O’Sullivan takes his place at the head of the line now that he is also restored as captain. After that, the Dr Crokes man will take his seat in the Hogan Stand.
