Cork chiefs to extend O2 deal
The present three-year deal concludes after this season and negotiations on a new agreement are progressing, O2’s sponsorship manager, Catherine Tiernan said yesterday.
“We’ve enjoyed a mutually beneficial relationship with the Board, team management and players, and it is our intention that it continue into the future,” she said.
Estimates put the value of the index-linked deal over the last three seasons at close to 1m, though with Cork’s All-Ireland successes it could be higher. It is regarded as one of the most lucrative sponsorships in GAA.
