Ballymartle and Rovers battle for final spot
Both sides have been most impressive in the early rounds, with Valley Rovers defeating Carrigaline and Bandon after replays and following up with a quarter final success over Dromina. Coincidentally, Ballymartle also defeated Bandon and then went on to clip the wings of Fr. Neill’s and Milford after a replay.
For tonight’s game, which is timed to start at 7.30, Valley Rovers will be without Eamonn Collins, who was red-carded during the course of the Dromina game and is currently under suspension.
Consequently the Innishannon side will be looking for big performances from Kevin Canty, the Manning brothers, Eoin and Stephen, ace free taker Richard Butler and Chris O’Donovan to chart their path to success.
Ballymartle will be hoping that such seasoned players like Ger Cummins, Gearoid Webb, goalkeeper Declan McCarthy and the Dwyers, Rory Barry and Patrick, come up trumps for them.
The winners meet either Carrigaline or Kilbrittain in the final.
